POETRY FESTIVAL: Singing in the Dark with the Cappuccino Adda: The Adda’s first Poetry Festival was held on the evenings of 26th and 27th November 2020. With the Corona Pandemic ravaging the world (apart from the other ‘dark’ forces working to suppress the voices of a majority of peoples and only intensifying and using the pandemic to increase their power and to increase their oppression) for close to a year the Adda took up the very significant Singing in the Dark anthology brought out by K Satchidanandan and Nishi Chawla through this festival.
Day 1 : was with Ashok Vajpeyi, Arundhathi Subramaniam, Sampurna Chattarji and K Satchidanandan in conversation.
Day 2: was an Adda with Ranjit Hoskote, Najwan Darwish, George Szirtes, Athol Williams, Yiorgos Chouliaras and Nishi Chawla.
