18th Sept 2018: Another Cappu Adda

The Cappuccino Adda of 18th September 2018 was a closed adda in the spirit of a ‘mehfil’ since the stage and mic was not available that day at the Kitab Khana and we could accommodate only about ten to fifteen chairs in the small mezzanine classics section at the Kitab Khana. It was nevertheless a really magical and spirited adda broadly around the theme The Writer/poet and his/her World. Fifteen of us writers met, read and spoke about the worlds that we inhabit, about the ecosystem and about the many interpretations of ‘silence’. The poet Robert Wood was in the city and the first quarter of the evening had Robert, Ranjit Hoskote and Sampurna Chattarji in conversation after which, the Adda took over. The sharing of work and a manthan of really important ideas and opinions at this adda was something truly precious and we look forward to the Cappuccino Adda taking exciting conversations forward in the future as well.

Many many thanks to Robert Wood, Sampurna Chattarji, Ranjit Hoskote, Jane Bhandari, Keki Daruwalla, Udayan Thakker, Menka Shivdasani, Bina Sarkar Ellias, Priya Sarukkai Chabria, Barnali Ray Shukla, Ashwani Kumar, Anju Makhija, Mustansir Dalvi and Anjali Purohit for making this Adda a smashing success. We look forward to having you with us again.

Here, some images a a few short recordings from the evening –
